About Me:

I was born in Trinidad & Tobago and migrated to New York City in 1970. I have always been passionate about the arts. My first love of art was Caribbean Dance at my school and community center. I am passionate about African culture and infuse it into mostly everything I create. Whether it is dance, music, clothing, costume design or home decor. My designs are created predominantly with African fabrics.

My signature pieces are the African Print Patchwork Quilts. Recycled fabrics are transformed, rebirth into a colorful mosaic quilts. Creating the quilts is similar to completing a puzzle, fitting the pieces of fabrics perfectly blending and coordinating them to create a consistent flow of color vibration.
